Gabriel may only be able to remember his name, but that doesn’t mean those who left him for dead in the snow of the Colorado Mountains don’t recall him clearly. The fact that they may not be entirely human makes things more difficult than ever as the small town of Edenspoint slowly realizes they’re being circled by some force they don’t understand. Soon, four friends find that the man with no past may be their only chance of surviving the onslaught of strange events. Things are falling apart for them all; from the doctor who seems to know more then he’s telling straight to the sheriff whose dead wife starts to make visits to him in the night. As Gabriel remembers more and more of the puzzle his past holds, the closer the danger seems to get. His powerful enemies are looking for something he’s taken, and Gabriel must remember where it’s hidden before they literally tear the town apart searching for it. As people start to die and strange things are seen in the woods, the four friends find themselves questioning their faiths, each other and themselves. As Gabriel starts to figure out who he was in his past he comes face to face with a family that he can no longer feel a part of, and the demons that plague his life. Why has the Sheriff’s wife returned and seems set on making him feel the guilt of her death? Who is the man that seems to start stalking the deputy after a hard choice is made that takes someone’s life? Why is the doctor having nightmares that seem to hold some truth of what is happening and how can he stop it all from coming true? Find out what’s lurking in the woods of Edenspoint in Gabriel.

I obtained the book Gabriel as a free offering for the Kindle. Overall I enjoyed the story with its combination of suspense, action and supernatural qualities set in a Colorado mountain town, EDENspoint, during the Winter. I may have given the book three and a half stars or four but for the horrible editing and misspelled words throughout. Also, anyone with any slight Biblical knowledge will easily recognize the angelic name references early on in the book and title, although I believe Lilith is a mythical forerunner to Eve, so there was really no surprises about the supernatural origins of the story. I did think the story flow was good and the author did a good job of character development with the main protagonists, although it bothered me that such good friends would constantly keep from each other the weird things that were happening to each of them personally. Of course the story wouldn't have developed to its proper climax without this behavior. I would recommend this book as a light, entertaining, thriller, Biblical supernatural read, but with nothing too different from other books in this genre to make it exceptional.Product details

Gabriel
It was a good book. It is Not the type of book I would usually read but I couldn't stop reading it. I would try another book by this author
This is a very creative story! I was impressed, and would highly recommend this book. I hope the author has more stories to come.
Well thought out book with great content and character development. Kept my interest and kept me guessing until the end. Not slow in parts like some books get. Can't wait to read more
Reels you in right away and keeps you wanting more clear to the end. Loved the concept of the story, not something I've read over and over as so many books are anymore. Well written, engaging, good tension. Connected with the characters, especially Leo and Mackenzie, couldn't wait to see how their group makes it through their trevails. Highly recommend taking the time to read this young author, this book deserves to be picked up by a publisher and make it in to print! Can't wait to see it on my local book shelves! I can totally see Ben Kingsley as Shax too. See for yourself when you read Gabriel.Gabriel
Great story, well told! Characterizations are very good, and dramatic elements are excellent, too! At no point could I have foreseen the dramatic climax, and it was presented in a way that was easy to follow! I just get lost in this story! Ms. Cross has a unique literary style that sets her apart from the ordinary! I've read it 3 times, and I get more out of it each time! I can't wait to read more of Ms. Cross's writing because I know it will be very good!
I downloaded this book at the end of last week and picked it up to read Saturday morning. I did not want to put it down! Great story set in the Colorado mountains. Well paced, great descriptions, well developed characters. I am bringing this to my next book club discussion to share and looking forward to the next book from this talented young writer.
I'm not even sure how this got on my but I saw it and decided to check it out. At first I has no clue where the author was going with the story and honestly it was annoying trying to read it. I decided it was such a bad story, I needed to hang in there and see what she would do with it. It didn't get much better but at least I was able to guess the storyline. Eventually, I read the books description but that only helped to give me an idea of where it was taking place.
If you are bored, read this otherwise take a pass.
